ROD PARADE 2005
The end of an era, somehow there is a feeling of both relief and sadness... of all the times that we have spent together, and the feeling that the life of an admin member is finally over..
The photo slideshow by zheng yang was OK lah, but only had sec 1 TA and sec 4 pics... nothing in between... haiz... so he compromised by throwing in lots of mr ng pics.. with his mouth open, with his 'portrait' on the whiteboard.. The song that ben chan wrote was quite lame, but at least we all tried to sing lah... "where mr ng collects money, for khon khean mission trip." (to the tune of Home). Wing time was quite cold and weird, with all the other wings laughing and cheering and ephesus stoning with ethan and his team quite blur... so i had to step in to lighten the spirits.. then all of them couldn't get the roll books in time, so they stood around and stoned for like 10 mins.. they'll learn, they better learn... and when they did get the books, they called all the sec 4's by their old ranks, so like we all became CPL for one day... had a good mind to knock them down, something i haven't done...
Passing the spot in front of the wing to ethan, i felt that my duty here was done and they are other things to do next yr...
Next, comes the (very long and sianz) Awards Presentation Ceremony.. rehersals were like completly irrevlevant, coz there is absolutely nothing to practice, and the whole time we were bearing alex wong's "Gentlemen!!" in a very high pitched voice... den he pms the GOH and gave us only 15 min for lunch, which he conveninently forgot about...
We go in, let the guy stick on the Founder's Badge, then we stone till 3ish.. wait 15 min for Brigade President, wait another 15 min for GOH (Ng Eng Hen) den stone some more in the audi... listen to the band play tunes... look at the precision drill which looked more like Stomp (and we've seen the real thing like 10 times)... and then present JM Fraser honour rolls..
All the government school companies, take bronze honour rol and cheer like they just won the EPL.. they all buay song us, and the MC can't pronouce names properly.. What did we get?? Gold Honour Roll and...

We showed all of them, all those smug buay song guys... hahahahahahahaha...
After that we went for dinner at Swensens at Holland V, where we all ate like crazy (and burnt a hole in my pocket)..
Four years have passed, and God has blessed me with great frens in the 12th(I)...without the teamwork amongst us, we'll never be where we are now, Founder's Men, Best Company etc etc... As wat thang said, 'these bunch of guys become more then ur frens... they become like family.' We're all one big family...
