As the prelims draw near, it feels like a tsunami of dread and horror..
and the REAL IB exams aren't even here yet.
spent the last few days either mugging, or playing bits of com games to 'destress',
i haven't talked to anyone (verbally) for the last 5 days. damn it
yes
Damn you local style education
why do we study something that most of us are most likely not to ever use again in their lives?
Studying for knowledge sake? maybe if you are rich. The inevitable truth is that we study for our career, so we can make big bucks. I hate those puritans for say that we study so shitting hard just for knowledge sake.
haha
so as the exams draw near, you might see more of such rubbish on my blog. Cause i would be blogging at these times, during the weekends.
Chalons-sur-Marne, Gaul, 451AD.
The Red Chi-Ro flag fluttered in the distance. He looked up at it. He wanted to spit on it. The Rome that he stood for had degraded into a state in which Roman citizens refused to take up arms to defend the glory of the Empire that their forefathers built. It seemed that people thought they could use money to buy barbarians to fight in their place.
Well, then why was he here?
This army was different, it consisted of the Last of the Romans. Romans who took up arms one last time to defend their homes, and their citizens from the horrors of destruction. Sure, there were foederati in their midst, but at least they were lesser in number, not like the armies the Gothic generals in Rome commanded.
For the last time he took up his sword, put on his plume helmet. Looking at his men, the men of the XII Legion, the aqulia in its rightful place, its men braced for the bloody fighting to occur, their armor shining, their capes fluttering. Everyone knew why they were here, what they were fighting for.
It's wasn't Rome, it was their homes.
